How do I use the printable chart?
Print at 100% (no “Fit to page”), hold it about 14 inches from your eyes, and start from the top line down. The first line that looks blurry indicates the power listed under it.
What if two lines look similar?
Choose the lower power for general reading comfort. If you do lots of tiny-print work (needlework, model building), try the next step up.
Does the chart go above +4.00?
This chart tests up to +4.00. If you need stronger magnification, use our High-Power Try-On at Home to test +4.50 to +5.00 (and more) safely at home.
My printout looks small/large—did I do it right?
Reprint with “Scale: 100%” and “Actual size.” Avoid “Fit,” “Shrink,” or “Fill.” If you can, use US Letter (8.5×11") paper.
